On Shabbat and during many Jewish holidays the meals begin with a special blessing over a cup of wine. The special goblet is used for this blessings is called a Kiddush Cup. The Kiddush Cup and Passover. The Kiddush Cup plays a particularly significant role during the Passover Seder. Throughout the Seder four cups of wine are used and each cup has a distinctive symbol.
