Messianic Music
Messianic music is a relatively new genre of composition bridging the worlds of Gospel and Jewish music. It was inspired from Israel's re-establishment, the rebirth of the Hebrew language, and the revival among God's chosen people.
Messianic music tends, for the most part, to be taken straight from scriptural passages, or at least based on them.
The first modern day messianic songs, based on Eastern European Jewish melodic ideas, were composed in the early 1960's by Merv and Merla Watson. It would be more than 10 years before others joined their ranks. The Watsons continue their musical journey in Israel today, joined by the daughter Elana, now a composer and musician in her own right.
Today there are tens of published messianic composers around the world, with the majority living in Israel.

About Jonathan Settel
Jonathan, husband of Sharon Settel, father of six children; was born in Berlin, Germany and grew up in a traditional Jewish family in Washington, D.C.
He studied music at the Inter American University of San German, Puerto Rico. For twenty years he was a vocalist in nightclubs, hotels, bars and cruise ships in the United States. In February of 1984, while employed by Walt Disney World, Jonathan had an "Encounter with Eternity".
He became a Believer in Jesus, the Messiah.
He was discipled for six years in a small church in Florida and was one of their worship leaders for their Erev Shabbat Service.
In 1990, Jonathan responded to The Lord's call to returned to his homeland, Israel, and moved his family to Jerusalem where he came to love and identify completely with the Israeli culture--and was fired up to "bring the Word forth from Zion". After a tremendous growth in Ministry, in June of 1996, he and his family then returned to the U.S. to fulfill the next part of God's plan for them.
Jonathan, along with his wife Sharon and their children, now reside in Parkland, FL.
After living in Israel for six years, one of their greatest desires is to lead groups to Israel on an annual basis.
About Avner and Rachel
Avner and Rachel Boskey live in the Beersheva area of Israel with their four sons. They oversee Final Frontier Ministries, a ministry with offices in Nashville TN dedicated to stirring up the creative arts, worship, intercession, evangelism and the prophetic – within a Jewish and Israeli matrix.
Avner was born and raised in Montreal Canada. He studied at Hebrew University, Jerusalem and McGill University, Montreal and at Dallas Theological Seminary. In the 1970's he was part of the Messianic Jewish band the Liberated Wailing Wall.
Rachel was born in Minneapolis MN. She founded the Star of David Singers, a Messianic music group and ministered with them in the Americas and Europe. Rachel's heart has been to foster intercession among believers for Israel's salvation and restoration.
Avner and Rachel have been involved for many years in evangelism, congregation planting, Bible teaching, worship and pastoral counseling.
About Elisheva Shomron
Elisheva Shomron, is a composer of over 200 Messianic Jewish worship songs.
As a singer/songwriter, her music constitutes a large portion of the Messianic music repertoire of many congregations.
Her most popular song is Kadosh (1987).
Shomron's family makes their home in Moshav Kesalon near Jerusalem in Israel .
Her husband Yuval is a music instructor and producer.
They have three children: Avigail, Yoseph Ephraim, and Yoel and a foster-son Israel.
About David Loden
David Loden - is one of the pioneers of Messianic Music in U.S.A.
One of the things closest to David's heart is his desire to see ongoing movement in the direction of building a strong community of faith in Israel.
David has been employed in the performing arts since his early youth; first as a singer and then in New York City in the professional theater as an actor, singer, writer and composer, stage and production manager.
In the past years he has been increasingly involved in the writing of performance-oriented music, teaching voice, directing choirs and theater arts workshops. He created an opera in Hebrew ("David and Bathsheva") which was produced in 1996 in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Netanya.
David and his wife Lisa are actively involved in the work of reconciliation between believers in Yeshua (Jesus) from different national, cultural and historical backgrounds. Many people have been impacted by their message and their lives, and in response have joined various reconciliation initiatives.
David and Lisa are in demand internationally as speakers and worship leaders.
