The Passover Haggadah - Phonetic Hebrew with English
At Passover family and friends gather for the traditional meal called a "Seder". "Seder" translates to "order" and refers to the fact that the meal is conducted in the same structure each year. The story of the Exodus is retold and there are blessings and actions that need to happen in a specific sequence.
To properly conduct the Seder we use a special book that has the order of the meal called, "The Passover Haggadah." The Haggadah was originally written in Hebrew, however, part of the requirements of the Seder is for everyone to understand. Therefore, it is common to use translations of the Haggadah. However, many still want to conduct the Seder in Hebrew, in particular the blessings.
This Haggadah is the easiest for non-Hebrew speakers to use because it has all three: Hebrew, English and transliterated phonetic Hebrew. Therefore, if someone is conducting the Seder in Hebrew, non-Hebrew speakers can follow along with the phonetics, the English or both. Everyone is included! If no one is a Hebrew speaker than enjoy the pleasure of speaking the blessings in their original tongue. The Seder will be a rich and inspiring experience for everyone!
The contents are the traditional form of the Haggadah, without omissions or alterations. It is illustrated with beautiful manuscripts from old Haggadot and other Hebrew sources. The size and weight are comfortable to use around a crowded table.
