The artist, Bracha Lavee - Brym, was born in Poland in 1948 and arrived in Israel in 1957. She lived and studied in Tiberias, where even as a small child her artistic talents were apparent. In 1970, following graduation from high school and the completion of military service, she enrolled in the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem.
Bracha Lavee - Brym has a strikingly expressive personal style. The vivid, semi-tropical colors and flowing lines found in her works amalgamate the warmth generally associated with felt tapestries with the fine detail typical of drawings.
Bracha Lavee - Brym's art work is deeply inspired by ancient and modern aspects of the Holy Land. Prominent print themes are the Holy City of Jerusalem, stories from the Bible and Israeli landscapes.
